We offer a selection of Vilkyd resins that are particularly suitable for decorative use. All have been formulated within our laboratories and are manufactured at our plant in the UK.

There are four product classifications within the range.

Principal key uses and features of specific resins within each classification are listed below.

Vilkyd Long Oil Alkyds.

• Non-yellowing decorative paints with outstanding durability
• Coloured decorative coach enamels with good gloss and durability
• Pigment dispersions
• Isophthalic alkyd for pigment dispersions and printing inks
• Compliant flexible alkyd for exterior paints, wood stains and varnishes with outstanding extensibility

Vilkyd Medium Oil Alkyds.

• Fast drying undercoats. Primers, coach and machinery finishes, floor paints
• Quick drying decorative paint and primers with good recoatability
• High viscosity alkyd for low cost decorative paint
• Non-yellowing undercoats, quick drying machinery enamels

Vilkyd Polyurethane Oil Alkyds.

• VOC compliant decorative agricultural machinery and floor finishes
• High gloss and floor varnishes with excellent through drying, chemical and abrasion resistance

Vilkyd Alkyd Resins, Other Modifications.

• Structured decorative finishes and undercoats
• Electrical insulating varnishes
• Non drip decorative paints
